Database Spotlight: An Introduction to Google Scholar Online

Google Scholar is a tool from Google that searches for scholarly articles. Google Scholar is a great tool to use in conjunction with the Library's databases to perform a good search of the available literature on a topic.

- Overview of Google Scholar
- Finding Open Access articles
- Citing articles
- Finding related articles
- Creating alerts
- Using the Advanced Search
- Saving articles to your library
- Having Google Scholar show which articles are available to your thorugh the Library
- Set up the option to export citations to RefWorks
What You'll Need
- Internet connection
- A computer with speakers or a headphones
Registration
- Registration with a Dominican email address is required
- Space is limited to 20 attendees
- Registration closes 3 days before the webinar begins
