Discussion of Isabel Wilkerson's book Caste

Discussion of Isabel Wilkerson's book Caste Online

Dominican students and employees, please join us for a discussion about Isabel Wilkerson's nonfiction book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Caste shows that the US has a deeply embedded racial caste system underlying many of our problems.  In the New York Times, Dwight Garner wrote: "[Caste is] an instant American classic and almost certainly the keynote nonfiction book of the American century thus far... Wilkerson has written a closely argued book that largely avoids the word ‘racism,’ yet stares it down with more humanity and rigor than nearly all but a few books in our literature.... It’s a book that changes the weather inside a reader."
